Government

Either directly or indirectly, Netplan has given advice to the majority of the Danish ministries and governmental agencies. The advisory services include all the core competences of Netplan. The tasks performed for the government take their basis on the increasing centralisation deriving from the wish that ministries and their agencies are perceived as one group for both their users and their employees.

In this context, both IT and telephony play a key role. If the infrastructure and systems of the group do not allow integration or that the IT systems are accessible in an efficient manner to all users and employees, the technique risks limiting this process instead of supporting it. This raises a number of typical problem complexes:

  • Does an employee in an agency have equal opportunities to work as efficiently at home, at distant offices and at the premises of the users, as it is the case at the workplace in the department?
  • Do the IT systems provide the opportunity to exchange knowledge cross organisational borders or solely the possibility of exchanging information?
  • Is the efficiency and security just as high in the small agency as it is in the department? Or is it even higher?
  • How does telephony interact with the data net and the IT systems?
