The new map of Denmark has been drawn and the merger of the municipalities in Denmark is going on full speed. The merger means great change not only in the individual administration of the municipality, but also in terms of infrastructure, data communication networks and telephony systems.
The restructuring and the linking of municipal networks require specialised knowledge in many cases – none the least because the telephony and data systems in the individual municipalities are often different and the needs in the new large municipalities differ from what applied earlier on.
A number of the new large municipalities are already benefiting from the specialised knowledge in Netplan when speaking of the linking of the municipalities’ infrastructure. This both applies to broadband networks, system linking and telephone systems.
The list below indicates the municipalities/new large municipalities (“kommuner”), where specialised knowledge from Netplan is being utilised in connection with the new infrastructure:
